"I have dealt with asthma since I was a baby. In my 20's, I noticed a trend of it continuously getting worse and an increase in medications required to keep it at bay. I once asked my doctor how long I would need to take the meds and he essentially said 'Forever, but there's no side effects so it's a non-issue'. Well it was for me. "Not long after having my son we noticed he was sensitive to dairy. I exclusively breastfeed and when I was having heavy dairy meals he would get tummy aches. I limited my dairy intake and his tummy aches started to go away. When he was around 3 months old I started noticing he was getting eczema. My 4 year old developed a wart in April, we took him to our MD and they started treating it with Canthrone Plus every two weeks. After every treatment he was in so much pain and the wart rebelled and grew bigger and bigger each time. There were times that the day after the treatment he couldn’t even put socks, sandals, shoes or walk on his foot due to the extreme pain! Even though the treatment was not getting rid of the wart and the wart was growing each time they still continued to treat it until in June my husband and I said enough is enough.

At the age of 14, I developed a rash on my hands. My family doctor diagnosed it as psoriasis and prescribed me high-potency topical steroids. After beginning the prescribed treatment I noticed two reactions: #1, while the cream would diminish or eliminate the rash, it always came back, just as bad, if not worse. #2, the rash developed into something new. It was now diagnosed as pustular psoriasis by a dermatologist I was seeing. Pustular psoriasis, neither pleasant by name nor appearance entailed very much what it sounds like; hundreds of fluid-filled bumps appearing all over my hands where the initial rash had started.

Now the only thing that could alleviate my symptoms was using an increasing amount of steroid cream. My skin issues were tied to developing food intolerances, and external factors like the cold and excess moisture. I asked the dermatologist what, if any other options I had, and the response was that it was incurable; and that the creams plus bubble wrapping myself would be my best bet. I was discouraged and spent the next 4 years miserably medicating with the understanding that the creams wouldn't work forever and that I would need to face the reality of this chronic ailment.

Just after finishing high school, I learned of “Topical Steroid Withdrawal” — A condition of creating or exacerbating a skin condition by using steroid creams. I promptly started detoxing from the creams and eating a heavily restricted diet (carnivore) to reduce inflammation and flares of dermatitis. Not long after stopping the use of the medication a litany of side effects began, from flaking skin to cracking, oozing sores and extreme external sensitivity. Upon reaching the 6th-month mark of my steroid withdrawal, I was still dealing with many of the previously mentioned side effects. I needed an additional resource to aid the process.

A family member introduced me to Lisa’s homeopathic practice. The first appointment I had with Lisa offered a great deal of encouragement, she was the first healthcare professional confident I could heal. "Lisa was teaching a homeopathic course that I took a couple of years ago. I was very skeptical about the homeopathic medication, however Lisa's calm assurance and good understanding of the remedies kept me in the course.

Pharmaceutically, I am very difficult to treat as I am allergic to or have adverse reactions to medications. Under Lisa's guidance I began my homeopathic journey. Not long after having my son we noticed he was sensitive to dairy. I exclusively breastfeed and when I was having heavy dairy meals he would get tummy aches. I limited my dairy intake and his tummy aches started to go away.

When he was around 3 months old I started noticing he was getting eczema. When I would have even the smallest amount of dairy the eczema would get a lot worse so I went completely dairy free. After a couple months of no dairy, the eczema persisted and was getting worse. He was waking up every 20 minutes in the night trying to itch his back. He would also “scratch” around his hairline and neck while I nursed him. After trying a few things on my own (switching the fabrics he was wearing, special creams, etc) I reached out to Lisa. He is still on a remedy for the dairy sensitivity, but I have now started introducing dairy back into my diet and he has had no symptoms or reactions to it. My son is proof there is another way. "My four year old developed a wart in April, we took him to our MD and they started treating it with Canthrone Plus every two weeks. After every treatment he was in so much pain and the wart rebelled and grew bigger and bigger each time. There were times that the day after the treatment he couldn't even put socks, sandals, shoes or walk on his foot due to the extreme pain! Even though the treatment was not getting rid of the wart and the wart was growing each time they still continued to treat it until in June my husband and I said enough is enough.

The next option for us was Salicylic Acid every day. My concern again was that it was going to hurt him and at this point he wouldn't let me scrape or use pumice stone on his 'wart toe'. I called the podiatrist office to see if laser was an option. I’ve been working with Lisa since last August. I’m 68 and had several long-standing health issues that were making my life miserable. I had had acid reflux for 8 years and had tried so many things to heal. I went to a Naturopath and she put me on the SIBO diet and I took the antibiotics which did nothing.

I cut out coffee (bummer) and alcohol, took healing herbs like slippery elm, zinlori, drank cabbage juice and everything I read of or heard about. "I had really bad hormonal acne after getting off the pill, just after 5 weeks I noticed a huge improvement in my skin and a huge improvement in my periods cramps.

I have suffered from reoccurring bladder infections and inter-cystitis since I was a kid, I have had to take antibiotics my whole life. I have noticed a huge improvement in my bladder, the pain is much better and I don’t have to pee as frequently. Five-hour time zone travel could have disrupted a lovely holiday. Instead, I carefully followed Lisa's advice for dealing with jet lag. We planned and made sure to take the remedies as scheduled. After our travel day, we only felt an hour off (instead of five!) and this was easy to accommodate.

The return trip was more challenging because it was a poor night of sleep in the plane but still, on the other end, after a nap, we were able to resume pace in the current time zone. We also took a remedy for avoiding the many illnesses of confined, recycled air and for the aches of sitting in cramped passenger seats for long periods.

Lisa's advice helped us relax on our vacation or go explore without wasting a moment feeling groggy. We have now shared this wisdom with others. ~C.W.
